Welcome to the CBM 2027!

The Organising Committee is pleased to announce that the 7th Congress of Baltic Microbiologists will take place in 2027 in Tallinn, Estonia, hosted by Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech).

CBM 2027 will bring together researchers, students, industry professionals, and microbiology enthusiasts from the Baltic region and beyond to exchange ideas, present recent discoveries, and strengthen scientific collaborations. The congress programme will include a keynote lecture and 6 invited speakers, oral and poster presentations, networking opportunities, and discussions covering diverse areas of microbiology.

The Congress will be hosted at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia’s leading university of technology and science, situated on a green and modern campus in the Mustamäe district of Tallinn.

TalTech is internationally recognised for its strong research in natural sciences, engineering, technology, and life sciences, providing an inspiring environment for scientific exchange and collaboration. The university campus features contemporary conference facilities, laboratories, study buildings, restaurants, cafés, and recreational areas, all within a compact and easily accessible setting.

CBM 2027 will bring together internationally recognised researchers, emerging scientists, and experts from diverse fields of microbiology to share knowledge, inspire discussion, and foster new collaborations.

Keynote Speaker: Prof. Vasili Hauryliuk
Lund University and University of Tartu

Prof. Vasili leads a multidisciplinary research group exploring bacterial defence against bacteriophages and the molecular mechanisms of ribosome function, antibiotic resistance, stress signalling, and protein quality control through microbiological, biochemical, sequencing, and structural approaches.
